FUDUTSE Suspends Medicine Admission for 2024/2025 Academic Session – Details are as follows:
The Federal University, Dutse (FUDUTSE) has announced the suspension of admissions into its Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) programme for the 2024/2025 academic session.
This decision, though disappointing to prospective students, is a temporary measure aimed at addressing the backlog of previously admitted students.
The university’s management expressed appreciation for the interest shown by students in pursuing a degree in Medicine at FUDUTSE, but cited the need to offset the existing backlog as the reason for the suspension.
This move is designed to ensure that current students receive the best possible education in a conducive learning environment.
Despite this setback, the university’s College of Medicine has received commendation from the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN) during a recent accreditation visit.
The council was impressed with the organization and settings of the programme, a testament to FUDUTSE’s commitment to excellence.
Prospective students are assured that this suspension is temporary, and admissions for the MBBS programme will resume in the next academic session (2025/2026).
In the meantime, the university encourages interested students to consider other academic programmes available at FUDUTSE.
