Ekiti State University (EKSU) management has announced the Matriculation Ceremony for the 2023/2024 academic session.
The ceremony is scheduled to take place as follows:
- Date: Wednesday, 8th May, 2024
- Venue: University Main Auditorium, EKSUBOT
- Time: 10.00 a.m.
EKSU Announces Matriculation Ceremony for the 2023/2024 Session
Freshmen are urged to take note of this important event, as matriculation is a vital step in their academic journey.
All newly admitted students must participate in the matriculation ceremony.
Failure to do so will imply voluntary withdrawal from the institution.
Here are some key points for candidates wishing to matriculate:
- Matriculating students are required to collect their robes between 9.00 a.m. and 4.00 p.m. starting from Monday, 6th May, 2024. Robes should be obtained from the Faculty Officers. It is essential to return the robes in good condition by 2.00 p.m. on Friday, 10th May, 2024. Failure to do so will incur a fine of Five hundred naira (N500.00) per day.
- Each candidate must present the original copy of their Admission letter and evidence of registration (screened and cleared) before collecting the Matriculation robe. Proper attire is advised, with men being required to dress in suits under the academic gowns, and ladies wearing their robes over reasonably long-sleeved English dresses.
- Faculty Officers will make the matriculation oaths available to students to read and understand before the ceremony.
- Students are encouraged to inform their guests to be seated by 9.00 a.m. on the day of the ceremony. Matriculating students must be seated and ready for the Academic Procession by 9.30 a.m.
- After the ceremony, students are required to sign the Matriculation Register at their respective Faculty Offices and submit their Matriculation Oath.
