FG Orders Schools To Submit Admission List for 2024/2025 Academic Session, Threatens Sanctions Against Defaulters.
The Federal Government has directed all higher institutions to submit their admission lists for the 2024/2025 academic session immediately after matriculation.
This directive is aimed at combating fake degree racketeering in the country.
According to a memo by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), institutions must submit their matriculation lists to the Federal Ministry of Education no later than three months after matriculation ceremonies.
The list must be submitted through JAMB’s dedicated channel.
Failure to comply with this directive will result in severe consequences, including sanctions.
JAMB emphasized that candidates not disclosed by institutions would not be entertained.
This development comes after the Federal Government set up an Inter-Ministerial Investigative Committee on Degree Certificate Milling to probe the activities of certificate racketeers.
