FUTA Offers Computer Science in Distance Learning Centre and you can apply to study online.
The Federal University of Technology Akure (FUTA) is breaking barriers with its Computer Science programme in the institution’s Open and Distance Learning Centre (ODLC), offering an innovative blended learning approach.
In a recent statement, FUTA highlighted that distance, Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) scores, and age are no longer obstacles to obtaining a B.Sc in Computer Science.
The university emphasized that tuition fees are highly affordable, presenting a cost-effective option compared to traditional programmes.
Candidates are encouraged to take advantage of the world-class laboratories and computing facilities available through the ODLC.
Upon graduation, students will be eligible for mobilisation into the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) programme before the age of 30, receiving the same certificate as regular students.
To qualify for admission to the 100-Level, candidates must possess five credits in the SSCE/GCE/NECO, including English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, and Biology or Agricultural Science or Economics, obtained in not more than two sittings.
The university also welcomes applicants without JAMB-UTME results, with the application form priced at N20,000.
Interested candidates can complete their application by visiting www.odlportal.futa.edu.ng and engage in a highly innovative blended learning experience tailored for all categories of learners.
