Keep in mind that the JAMB subject combinations as well as the o level (WAEC) requirements mentioned on this post are only meant for Education and Islamic Studies under the faculty of Education.

JAMB Subject Combination For Education and Islamic Studies

The required JAMB subject subject combination for Education and Islamic Studies are:

Islamic Studies/Arabic and two other social Science or Arts subjects.

Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks

(i) UNILAG requires any three of Literature in English, History/Government, French, Geography, Math, Yoruba/Igbo, CRK/IRS, Arabic, Commerce.

WAEC (O Level) Subject Requirements For Education and Islamic Studies

The list of compulsory WAEC subjects required for Education and Islamic Studies under the faculty of are as follows:

Five SSCE credit/merit passes including English Language, Islamic Religious Studies and three other relevant subjects.

Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks

(i) ABU requires at least a pass in Arabic Language. Accepts credit passes in Social Science/Art subjects.

(ii) OOU does not accept Social Science subjects.

(iii) UNILAG requires five credit passes in English, Mathematics, IRS and 2 of Literature in English, Yoruba, Igbo, History or Government, French, CRS, Economics and Arabic.

(iv) LASU requires credit pass in Mathematics.

(v) UNIABUJA requires Credit Passes at SSCE (or its equivalent) to include Mathematics, English Language, Arabic/IRS and two other relevant Arts subjects.

(vi) UMYU requires five credits passes including English Language, Islamic Studies any other three relevant subjects with a pass in Mathematics.

(vii) TASUED requires Five ‘O’ level credits at one sitting or six ‘O’ level credits at two sittings to include English Language and other subjects in Arts/ Social Sciences.
