Igbo and two subjects from Arts and social Sciences.

Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks

(ii) UNN requires Igbo or any other Language and any two other subjects. For Linguistics (Option), requires Literature in English and 2 other subject.

WAEC (O Level) Subject Requirements For Linguistics, Igbo and other African Languages

The list of compulsory WAEC subjects required for Linguistics, Igbo and other African Languages under the faculty of are as follows:

Five SSCE credit passes to include Igbo, English Language and any other Arts subject.

Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks

(i) UNN requires 5 O’ Level credit passes to include English language and one Science subject. Candidates for Linguistics must possess a credit pass in Literature in English while candidates for linguistics and Nigerian Language must possess a credit pass in the Nigerian language to be combined with linguistics.
