JAMB Debunks Involvement in HND Admissions, Clarifies Mandate.

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has categorically denied claims of its involvement in the admissions process for Higher National Diploma (HND) students.

In a statement released yesterday in Abuja, JAMB’s spokesman, Fabian Benjamin, emphasized that the board has no authority or control over HND admissions.

JAMB Debunks Involvement in HND Admissions, Clarifies Mandate.

Benjamin explained that JAMB’s mandate is limited to regular admissions for undergraduate programs, and it does not extend to other higher institutions’ programs, including HND.

He stressed that HND admissions are outside the board’s purview and irrelevant to its mandate.

This clarification comes after some HND students accused JAMB of being responsible for their inability to participate in the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) scheme.

The students claimed they were not mobilized for service due to their part-time National Diploma (ND) programs.

JAMB’s denial of involvement in HND admissions aims to set the record straight and alleviate misconceptions.

The board’s primary focus remains on ensuring a seamless and transparent admissions process for undergraduate programmes.
